Silence
Something that is taken in different ways. Sometimes it is awkward, others it is natural. In ways it is comforting and others it can be your worst nightmare. Especially when you have lost everything you have ever loved.
Soft humming grazed harshly through the deep silence of the darkened corridor. The gentle melodies of a piano echoing off the charred walls of an old, burned down manor. Beautiful moon rays shone in celestially through the gaping doors. A frail figure sat in the center of the room with nothing but blackened ash scattered along the floor, giving the room a sorrowful atmosphere. The dark soot covering the floor with the exception of a few prints which the figure had left. The being sat on a piano stool that once long ago was beautifully hand carved. Now, it was paint deprived and looked as though years before, bright flames had licked hungrily at its legs. A white piano, that too was hand carved and paint deprived, stood on its weakened legs before the silhouette. The moon beams shone against the figure, giving its pale skin a celestial appearance.

I miss you

Miss you so bad
I dont forget you
.
Oh its so sad.
I hope you can hear me
.
I remember it clearly
The being sang, his light voice echoing off the walls, calling back to him. Tears starting to shape as he closed his eyes, his short, shadowy hair falling in front of his face, electric yellow streaks shone brightly against the darker strands. His body lightly wracked with sobs as he chronically played the piano delicately, allowing his tears to course freely. The melodious drip of the salt water tears occurred as they softly pounded on the monochrome keys.
The day
. You
.
Slipped Away
Was the day
I found it
Wont be the same
Ohhhh

The being glanced around the empty room, looking as if he had an audience sitting in front of him. Three translucent figures appeared in the doorway of the balcony, staring at the playing pianist. The curvaceous one moved closer to him, wrapping her delicate arms around him in an embrace. Her beautiful red dress coming down to her knees, the long gloves on her arms caressing the skin of the boys chest. Her long silver-blue hair falling in front of her face as her succulent lips pressed to his cheek gently. She slowly let him go as she backed off, her voice faint.
I love you Ienzo
my beloved son
I didnt get around to kiss you
Goodbye on the hand
I wish that I could
See you again
I know that I cant
.
Ohhhhh..
I hope you can hear me
Cause I remember it clearly
The tallest of the three figures walked over, a single translucent tear shaped as it ran down his cheek. The mans silver suit shining brightly in the moonlight, his formal appearance hiding his sensitive interior. His long, black hair flowing freely, icy blue streaks combing throughout the black strands. His voice faint but low as he spoke quietly, placing a gentle hand on his sons shoulder.
Ienzo.. My son.. I am so sorry.. We couldnt.. protect you.. He slowly removed his hand from his sons frail shoulder, turning away from him as he walked back over to his wife. He pulled her close as she buried her face in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
The day
. You
Slipped Away
Was the day
..
I found it
Wont be the same
Ohhhhh
.
The last member of the group sat on the balcony railing, leaning against the wall as he turned his head to Ienzo. His long, black hair flowed, the yellow streaks in his hair shone fluorescently as the moonlight touched it. The gentle wind blowing his hair to one side, revealing his pale face with bright, flaming eyes. His piercing gaze never leaving Ienzo as he moved his legs towards the doors, sliding off the railing onto his feet. His long, black jeans caressing his legs as he walked towards the boy, his black button down shirt wide open, revealing his toned abs as he knelt down beside the pale being.
Oh Ienzo
youve grown.. Im so glad that you lived.. Im sorry I left you so long ago and couldnt protect you.. Please.. Forgive me, my brother.. His voice spoke faintly as the man hugged his brother. The tears flowing silently down his cheeks, marring them beautifully. Dont forget your brother Itzal now
alright Ienzo?
and our mother Idony and our father Iapetos.. Please.. Well.. Always care for you.. I just.. Wish I could be here for you.. To ease your pain.. Itzal pulled from his embrace slowly as he turned from his brother. The tears flowing ceaselessly as he walked towards his parents, glancing over his shoulder at Ienzo.
I've had my wake up
Won't you wake up
I keep asking why
And I can't take it
It wasn't fake it
It happened you passed by
Ienzo continued to play piano, his tears flowing quickly as he glanced over his shoulder at the three figures that stood in the doorway. His sapphire blue moons never leaving the sight of his family as his fingers gently played the keys of the piano. The bright, salt water falling silently to the ground, creating a light circle on the soot below his feet.
Now your gone
Now your gone
There you go
There you go
Somewhere I can't bring you back
The three figures turned their backs on the pianist as they moved into the moonlight of the balcony. Light wings form on their backs, the feathers shining celestially in the moonlight. As Idony and Iapetos flare their beautiful gifts from the heavens and ascend to the sky, their tears fall like rain on the moonlit ground. The stars sparkling above as they ascend through the clouds, slowing and looking down on the mansion.
Now your gone
Now your gone
There you go
There you go
Somehow you're not coming back
Please.. Forgive your foolish family Ienzo.. Im sorry we were never there to protect you when you.. Needed us most.. When you cried every night and feared sleep. Itzal turned to face the pianist, his eyes resting on his brothers back. His sobs shaking his body gently as he clenched his fists. The long black strands falling in front of his face, covering it in a dark shadow, shielding it from the light of the moon.
The day
. You
Slipped Away
Was the day
..
I found it
Wont be the same
Ohhhhh
.
The pianists eyes grew dark with sorrow, the whites were now bloodshot, a little pool of salt water resting on the piano. Ienzo cried silently, his fingers letting his emotions out into the keys of the piano. Itzal stared at his brother through his black bangs, tucking them behind his ears to reveal his face once more.
The day
. You
Slipped Away
Was the day
..
I found it
Wont be the same
Na na na
..
Na na
.
Na na na
Na na
I miss you
.
The young boy slowed his playing to a stop, his hands leaving the keys as he stood, turning around fully to face the silhouette of his brother.
Itzal
. Ive missed you and our parents for so long.. And now.. Youre back
A smile started to play his lips as he walked over to his older brother, stretching out his shaking hand towards Itzal. The older brother smiled, as he opened his arms, awaiting his brother to come running into them. Ienzos smile spread across his pale face as the tears flowed quickly down his cheeks. I missed you
.. He moved closer to his brother, awaiting for his brothers arms to close around him. A look of sadness growing on his face as he passed through his brother as though he was a mirage. Itzal
!? He cried out, turning to see his brothers back right in front of his face. Why
. Why cant I..be with you? He choked out, his voice shaking with sorrow.
Im only here in spirit my dear brother
I wish I could hold you close and stroke your cheeks like I used to when we were so young.. But I cannot.. I have passed on and you know that.. I gave my life for yours
Itzal lowered his head as he turned and walked through Ienzo, walking to the balcony and sitting on it in his normal manor. Goodbye.. Ienzo.. Always remember.. That I care for you..
Ienzos eyes widened as he blinked back the tears that threatened to shape. Please! Dont go brother! He called out, running at his brothers figure, his arm outstretched as if to grab hold of him and never let him take off. Itzals face hardened as he flared his wings, glancing back at the pitiful sight of his brother trying to catch him. He closed his eyes, a single tear dropping from his face onto Ienzos hand as he took flight. His wings trimmed to help him ascend faster, blinking back the hot tears of sorrow.
I am sorry Ienzo.. I cannot stay any longer
Itzal whispered as he neared his awaiting parents, the three climbing higher towards the heavens and disappearing into the soft clouds of the night. Ienzo cried out after his brother, falling to his knees as he placed his face into his hands, sobbing uncontrollably.
I miss you
.
